Was brought up tonight by a few guys that they’d like to switch, the night of our draft. Admittedly, I was a little blindsided by it and was reluctant to change it on the spot and said that we’d revisit it before next season…

But what’s the draw of playing 1/2 pt PPR as opposed to full point PPR? not sure I fully understand the pros and cons of it

It’s a 14 man league with a decent buy in so I didn’t want to just flip everything on draft night*

It’s not as stupid

A player catching the ball for -5 yards should not get more points than a running back rushing for +4 yards

Half PPR is nice and well balanced.

Well balanced is probably the best selling point. You’re still getting points for catching the football, which is critical to the game (in real life), but you’re not grossly over valuing catches.

All I play is full point PPR. But I do find it funny when someone like Hunter Renfrow has 10 catches for 82 yards one week, and out scores someone like Mike Evans who had 3 catches for 30 yards and 2 TDs.

A full point is way to much for a rb catching a meaningless 2 yard dump off. .5 is the way to go

Half is for people that are still mad about Danny Woodhead and James White being studs

Exactly. I have no problem with that. Need to do your research.

What’s the problem here?

I have no problem with this being how it is. Renfrow probably had a bunch of critical 3rd down catches there. Mike Evans basically impacted the game on 2 plays, and if those two catches weren’t in the end zone, then it would be a massive dud game

I really dislike full ppr. Just think it skews things too much to that stat. Probably old school but I’d just rather the stars be the top guys in the league instead of part time guys getting propped up really big.

Always seemed silly to me that a 1 yard catch out is the backfield would be worth more than a ten yard run.

I like hppr
Standard weights the RBs way too much. PPR weights the wr too much. Hppr balances out the top honestly I feel!

I don't really care what the scoring system is as long as I know in advance. Gotta love when people try to make changes right before the draft after everyone has done their research.
