No way. Record has nothing to do with it. Otherwise the bottom feeders will just use waivers every week to stack their defense and take shots at the new hype for the week hoping to hit a home run.
Isn't the whole idea to get the "bottom feeders" the first chance to improve their team to a competitive level?
So those with elite teams lucky enough not to have any injuries through week 6 suddenly become #1 in the order? Simply b/c they haven't had to replace anyone?
Meanwhile, EZ's 3rd rb just went down, he's winless, and the only good available rb on waivers is his guys handcuff.
How is that elite team getting the RB to stash on his bench, instead of EZ using him, not luck?

I see it from both ways - 2 of my leagues do it like we do, and 1 does it by record.
I think our current way is best for the top teams throughout the season, b/c if they're patient and don't blow their wad on every "sleeper" they hear about each week, then they can get a good waiver order. If we do it by record, the tops teams automatically have the last picks every single week, no matter what they do.
*And I see what you mean about letting the lower teams remain competitive, but it's unfair to the rest of the league to have them always get the best players each week, even if they aren't in the hunt.
I dunno, that's my take - I like it the way it is, but I'll leave it up to discussion next season.

I'm just bitching. I'm fine with the way it is, but had no idea until this morning. Dont know how I managed it all year with my obvious ignorance.
If Bell is the difference in the score, expect my bitching to resume.

I don't like this welfare program you are trying to implement. If you want to give up your waiver pickup to a bottom feeder, go ahead. no one is stopping you.

Then you must HATE the nfl as a whole. Because that is how their waiver wire is determined. It's why kyle orton is a chief, and not a bear.

Thanks for sticking up for me! LOL
I was out of this league the moment Charles went down. Then Nicks got hurt for a while, then Blount, etc.
Literally, week 3 or 4, I was done.
The rest of my team, however, was pretty decent. Played some games close, but I literally gave up by week 6 or 7. Yeah, I tried to make moves, but it didn't matter. I set my lineups just to do the right thing by everyone.
Either way, that's the breaks. I'm looking forward to next year. Maybe cutting down a slot, or having 12 teams would help.
PS - Just a reminder: I made the final four last year, so I don't want to hear that I don't know what I'm doing! LOL

Oh, and best of luck to whoever made the playoffs and finals!

The NFL is selling parity so every game will be close and people watch.
You're just trying to handicap for your laziness in planning and developing your team. You know you got lucky this year just to make it to the playoffs and know you have no shot in the future. Just like the liberal elite who try to put in laws that prevent others from succeeding in the name of "fairness"

I was in 2nd through 5th place all year. How in the hell would that waiver system help me? What we actually have helps me more. I just didn't know its what we were using.

Lucky to make playoffs??
I had two of the top 5 rb's, 2 top 15 wr, the Tebow, a 9 game wining streak, the 2nd seed, and a bye.
Yea, I really limped in.
Dont take out your consistent mediocrity on me. I misunderstood the rules, and have accepted as much. But I'll be sure to consider your criticism when I deposit my $210 though.
How much did you win again? What about last year?
Too bad. Here ya go...

Cubbies.
You didn't even try to get your money back.
If you had anyone in for Ben, you probably win.

Haha. My lead lasted about 45 minutes.
Congrats Brad.
You won on draft day. Very nicely done.

So you placed second in this league this year?
Posted on 12/24/11 at 4:16 pm to CollegeFBRules
Yea. Unless Jordy Nelson goes for about 60 points, I'm toast in the finals.

I was preoccupied with Christmas :(
I still might win. There's a chance.
I'm such a sore loser.

Dammit cubs, you're making this interesting.

Damn Brad! Just...damn!

So I'm watching the game with some friends, and of course they know my fantasy situation. There's like 10 minutes left in the game and I was like, "Hmm... if only I would have started a qb. Let me just check and see if there's one on my bench. Oh. Hello, Matt Moore who threw for three touchdowns."
That pretty much ruined my night. I totally deserved to lose. But I had a lot of fun.
eta: also, I was talking about our league and how I've made it to the playoffs both years and I'm the only girl and he goes, "you might have a bunch of lawyers in your league." idk how he knew that, but he's right.
