I probably agree with you on Chat. Before I did the write-ups I glanced at his team and really liked it. Then as I was going into detail I thought the same thing. I would probably have Clams, Earl and maybe Rondo ahead of him if I did it over.

Chowds team just doesn't seem like it's good enough to win categories week in and week out. He may be stronger than some in certain areas but I don't think his strengths are good enough to win. I expect him to rebuild if he pays attention to his team after the first few weeks.

Yea I'm not crazy about my draft. I think the top 3-4 are all pretty even. Injuries and good trades will separate them.

1. Drunken Clams- I think overall, he has the best balance. I didn't like his bottom keepers originally, & i think his drafting on the hitting side was average. But he nabbed some guys with upside, Yellich, Ackley. Has a steady stream of SB. his staff, hands down, is the best in the league.

2. Rondo- Had a nice draft on the hitting side, landing good mixture of vets and younger players. If health stays on his side, should be GTG. Pitching is aligned as well.

3. Chat- Didnt love his draft, as i mentioned already. But his keepers were really good. I feel like he took a few guys that will be on waivers within a few weeks. I dont feel like landed many impact arms either.

4. Mr WiseGuy- solidified his bats early with the selections of Papi and Beltran. Then Rosario. Has some really nice options on that side. His pitching has potential to be good, if the Asian pitchers + Burnett throw like they did last year, but i feel they all kind of pitched over their heads a little. Has a nice solid group of closers.

5. Goodfellas- I liked a few of his draft picks, but i think he may have reached a little on some young guys. A rebound by 2 of the 3 of smoak, howard, Quentin would really benefit him. On the pitching side, i really like Alex Wood. Bucholz was a nice steal late.

6. Papz- I thin he might have had one of the 2-3 best drafts. Rios, Naps, Utley, Betlt...he just kept picking em off. His pitching should be solid enough for him to compete most weeks. This is a deep hitting team that is going to be hard to beat.

7. LE- felt my draft was up and down, i really was indecisive on a few guys, and it left me scrambling at the last minute. In the end i like my position flexibility day to day, both on the hitting and pithching side. Could use rebound seasons by Weeks and Uggla, and most importantly, matt kemp.

8. Chowds- Thought he really had a good draft. He knew what he had to do. He added a ton of veteran bats that should put up numbers. He has a nice blend of power/speed within his lineup. His pitching is thin on numbers, but has 4-5 solid options along with a handful of closers.

9. Gyno- Some points during the draft i said "do want" but more time than not, cannot fap to this. He did add a few intriguing younger guys like Gomes, Franklin, and Schoop. Same with Skaggs and Morrow on the pitching side. I liked the Josh Johnson pick.

10. Port- I think his hitting will end up being about league average, maybe a little below. Still slightly geared toward younger players. However his pitching is very stout, top 5 in the league as of now. Glad to have another team that can compete.

11. Lou T- I liked the Hill, Soriano, Werth, and AJax picks. I think he got too prospect happy on the pitching side, but should pay off down the line, as early as the end of this year. Overall an ok team. Definitely some potential there.

12. Cwill- Has some young "studs" ready to pop off, but i dont think he has enough depth to really compete at this point. on the pitching side, should do great in K's but he has a lot of erratic guys that he will have to throw out there. Some weeks will be great, others will be explosive.

13- VKC- i actually dont think he has the worst team. The draft didnt do him much good, but i thought he had some solid keepers in place. His pick situation was bad, but i think had he been there it may have went in a different direction. I still wouldnt count him totally out.

14. Jew T- I think he'll lack the pop to compete with most teams W2W. Has some good prospects waiting in the wings though. HIs pitching can compete, however. I just think he is lacking overall in the hitting department, as far as depth & MLB proven talent.

Yes. I have latrine Hawkins available for a pick.

Almost any guy that I did not keep is available for a pick. I think I want to hold Alexander Guerrero though.

Sweet.

We should probably erase the picks from last year now the draft is done.

Thanks for the rankings, guys. Kinda wanted to take the approach of getting a little younger without being anti-competitive. Fairly happy with how it turned out; think I will be closer to 6-8 than 10. Offense should be good most weeks

This league is always competitive through around the 10th team. Fewer keepers means less teams selling out and buying the Correas of the world

That's why it's still my favorite league.

Well I got upton in the 3rd. His track record tells me last season was an outlier.

Gray won't throw an inning for me.

And those other guys are meh but they are there to play a complimentary role or are a shot in the dark for a breakout

Upton is on a bunch of bounce back lists. Gray should fetch something from the prospectors.

Honestly I may just hold Gray. I have some old keepers and need some young blood. I hope you're right about him

Weird to see Earl refer to other teams as prospectors.
