McCoy at 8 overall is quite lucky. Clearly you've gotta be pretty pleased with RB1 and 2 (particularly with Crowell a keeper in the 7th).

I'm not sure I understand how the heck McCoy made it that far with Johnson, Gordon, Freeman and Howard all off the board as keepers, but far be it from me to question as my draft last night was insane with weird picks.

I've commented on both of your WRs a couple of times now but TY is *great*, but his value is tied to Luck... you better be hoping for a speedy recovery to whatever his current issue is. Jarvis Landry, as much as I love his talent, is highly likely to bust this year with Cutler... if he doesn't have chemistry with him early, it's going to be tough to create it mid season.

I like Decker more than Garcon, particularly given his RZ potential. Walker is a good if not elite TE. Skill wise he's really good, but just never seems to get the volume you'd expect for someone so talented. Certainly has upside.

You said it, Kamara definitely a reach if that's the order of the draft there, but I agree that he has incredible upside potential. He's probably flex-worth even if there is no issue with Ingram/AP, but if those guys are sluggish at all, he becomes elite... no brainer to roster him in a PPR even if it might have been early.

The last 4 feel like "also rans"... probably going to be waiver/streaming spots on the roster in all likelihood. Mike Wallace hasn't been the same since he left Pittsburgh. Burkhead is likely going to be too unpredictable to start in most weeks without some injuries to that backfield.

You've definitely got enough to field a solid starting roster, but probably need to go ahead and start looking for high upside guys on the waiver wire to watch and swap for as needed.

God, yeah, David Johnson. Total brain fart right there.

Injuries really fricked me over hard this off-season. Ware was far from a stud, but was a low-end RB2 and allowed me to use Rob Kelly at flex. Even when I was forced to move Kelly to RB2, I felt okay splitting my flex between Hogan and Meredith, but then Meredith went down, too. The issue with the RBs on waivers is that no one is left who is worth a damn.

Edit: I picked up Wendell Smallwood.

I told him we need to negotiate a little more. I'm going to use tonight to ponder the decision. It appears to be a good deal, leaving me the option to use TY as WR2 and Flex Crabtree, but makes me rely on the TB RB's.

Appreciate the in depth analysis. Always good to get a 2nd opinion.

I do think Landry is being a bit underrated, but I could see him in for a rough year

Yeah... that's another thing we don't ask a lot, but "when" matters a shite load as you are clearly feeling right now.

Trying to think of who is maybe a sneaky grab if available at RB:

Chris Carson - Seattle :: Making some noise here recently, if Lacy struggles, Rawls can't get right, could see some time but it's a not great OL.

Tarik Cohen - Chicago RB getting mentioned as someone who will get 10-15 touches a game. Worth rostering if you have space.

These guys should be available in a 12 teamer... maybe run through the list of FA options though and post here. Can give some thoughts.

All good man.

As to Landry, I don't underestimate his talent at all, from a purely talent standpoint I'd have him a *lot* higher... but from a situational standpoint, at least with what we're seeing right now, Parker seems to have better chemistry with Cutler. Couple that with teams likely still going to be throwing their best corner at Landry until proven otherwise, and I don't see a bright future right now. Hope I'm wrong for you though. :) Cutler likes to feed one guy, often to his own detriment... if that's Parker that's no bueno for you.

Here's where I landed - 3rd pick snake, 12 team, 0 ppr, standard scoring otherwise

QB: Aaron Rodgers
RB1: LeSean McCoy
RB2: Marshawn Lynch
WR1: Allen Robinson
WR2: Tyreek Hill
TE: Tyler Eifert
Flex: Dalvin Cook
D/ST: Cardinals
K: Will Lutz

BE: Robert Kelley
BE: Tyrell Williams
BE: Eric Ebron
BE: Kevin White
BE: Marvin Jones
BE: Jordan Matthews
BE: Jamaal Charles

I'd say WR is my weakest group again this year, just like my past two seasons. Hasn't been a liability at all finishing 1st and 2nd those years, tho

My league is mostly hometown friends who aren't too serious into Fantasy, but they've definitely been getting better this year. I had some ridiculously stacked RB groups the last two years cause folks were drafting WRs like we were playing PPR

Out of curiosity, what was your draft order?

Like the starting 5 RB/WR/Flex a lot. I've got Julio at 8 overall (WR2) and Ajayi at 9 (RB6) in standard based on VOR. Gronk at 21 (TE1) and Cook at 34 (RB18). Hill at 45 (WR13), Adams at 48 (WR15). 3 WRs in the top 20 with one elite and 2 RBs in the top 20 (I personally expect Cook to outperform his draft position as well).

Beyond that, I like Bilal Powell as I've said elsewhere. RB21 in standard. Gillislee RB27 but would probably not feel comfortable predicting his good weeks. Tyrell Williams needs that WR corps to thin out a little big... too many mouths to feed for now but he is talented. Corey Davis outside the WR50 for me *right now* but I do think he could be a producer... upside but not willing to pay for it... he's a good lotto ticket with your WR lineup. Golladay I am admittedly not knowledgeable about... many seem to like him, I have him at WR72 right now. Zay Jones likely to have some value so maybe good trade bait and/or if you trade a higher "value" WR, he could end up being a producer for you. John Brown I'm less sold on this year, but I do like his skillset.

All in all, good draft I'd say. Cam I'm not sure about this year. I've steered clear of him in most of my drafts but I can understand the appeal... they just seem to want to take away the "value" side of him by limiting his runs.

A-Rob probably a little weak as a WR1 (my VOR has him at WR19)... Hill maybe a mid WR2 (my VOR ranking is 13th but expecting low WR2 personally), so probably good with your read. Solid at RB starting for sure. Lite on depth maybe... not expecting a lot of consistent production from Rob Kelley personally but fine for a spot fill in. Jamaal Charles is interesting if he carves out a role, but he barely made the team it would seem so who knows. Nothing special about the bench otherwise it would seem. Tyrell Williams has potential but bad situation. Ebron not healthy right now and you're likely only filling in one week for Eifert's bye. Kevin White has potential with the Meredith injury but until he proves something he sits on the bench. Marvin Jones might see some spot duty for you. Jordan Mathews not healthy right now but if he can get there maybe ok?

Probably going to be crawling the waiver wire for WRs that have spikes and trying to figure out if it's "real". Similarly, trying to find that 4th "real RB" over the season as well... on the upside you're set at QB. Cards are a great D so not stuck trying to stream every week.

Thanks man. I had the opportunity to set my WR squad up a little better in the third round, but I think that's where Rodgers landed and I just couldn't pass up that kinda value. I tried to shore it up a bit in the later rounds, but I still probably favored RB a little too much in the mid-rounds.

I drafted 4th and went Julio, then Ajayi, then Gronk, then Cook

1st round was
Johnson, Bell, Antonio, Julio, Odell, Mike Evans, Lesean McCoy, Melvin Gordon, Jordy, and Jordan Howard

That's very good for a 12 team. Once Martin comes back, you will be loaded. hopefully Julio stays healthy. Not much depth though

12tm PPR, H2H T6B6 Hybrid scoring

Jameis
Johnson/Ingram/Abdullah/Blount/Quizz/Turbin/Jonathan Williams
TY/Dez/Parker/Marvin Jones/Kupp
Olsen
Cards
Tucker

cant believe TY and Dez fell to me. There was a run on RBs and they somehow made it to the turnaround.

Yeah take Montgomery while you can. Your RB will be your downfall.
