seems like a no brainer, but McCoy was lead RB last year and only had 945 total yards with 40 catches. Not really that stellar considering that Westbrook carried it only 60 times last year, so ....did we see all that he's capable of?

Floyd did well enough for SD to cut Chambers and when Vjax was out last year week 17, Floyd caught 9 passes for 140 yards.....and I'm thinking he's the main reason SD isn't entertaining Vincent's demands.

Floyd is not my starter, and the guy wanting to give me McCoy for him is somewhat in love with Floyd and was very pissed when I grabbed him. He got Best and Foster(we drafted 2 weeks ago), and I think he's confident enough in them to let McCoy go. (guy has Ocho Cinco as his WR2, hester wr3, and I think is scared)

Is McCoy really anything special? 158.5 pts last year in my scoring format (PPR) playing in all 16 games, and Floyd (who didn't start til week 9) scored 130.6

so what say you: Is McCoy the real deal..or just another JJ Arrington/Maroney type player who was given a chance his rookie year, given 150+ touches, but failed to impress coaches...which in turn makes them turn to a 3-4 back committee?

Floyd has the potential to put up Vincent Jackson type numbers(70 1,100 9td's)...is McCoy possible of putting up Westbrook type numbers or at least putting up another 100pts?

Stick with Floyd or accept McCoy?

this trade is a complete toss up. I like your team and honestly, starting with Charles, Rice isn't a bad place to be in.

This is just gonna be on your own gut feeling, I love both players this year so that's why they're both on my team.

I'd counter offer Floyd for Foster since you said the guy loves Floyd.

You need some gravy with all that rice!

Seriously, Ray is solid, but I'm a little concerned with Charles as your No. 2. Spiller looks great in preseason, but that team just sucks. Will they be able to move the ball at all? You have to admit that Bradshaw is no starter.

So, the question is whether you're going to start Floyd. It looks like the answer is no, not while you've got the Steves and Miles. If you're not going to start Floyd, would you rather start McCoy than Charles? My personal opinion is that the answer is yes.

okay I see your point.

Charles could be a one year wonder
Bradshaw may not be a worthy fantasy starter
Spiller/Fjax may cancel each others value

so it's better to have more depth where I have more questions, than where I'm more solid

thx, even tho I hate McCoy

I understand not wanting a player you don't like. But the reality is that Charles is too iffy. If he has a solid year, that's great. But I'm not putting him on my team. I think Jones has just as much of a chance to be the lead ball carrier. Besides, on that squad, I'm looking for the big fantasy numbers to come from McCluster (that hit he took the other night did scare me though).

Spiller may be the real deal like I said before. But the Bills

What has to happen for you to put Floyd in the line up? That's the question you need to ask yourself.

You may be right. But I read this:

quote:

Kansas City Chiefs RB Thomas Jones is listed as the starter over RB Jamaal Charles because Jones has proven himself over a full season, according to head coach Todd Haley, reports The Kansas City Star's Adam Teicher. "What he did last year … it was an eight-game window or an eight-game sample that we saw," Haley said of Charles. "What we're pushing Jamaal to do is show that he can do that throughout a 16-game and hopefully-plus schedule. That's something that Thomas has proven through time." Charles has rushed nine times for 63 yards in two preseason games while Jones has 10 rushes for just 31 yards.

RB Jamaal Charles has picked up right where he left off last year when it comes to flashing the running ability and speed that allowed him to gain over 1,100 yards. Charles underwent shoulder surgery in January and that limited his football work in the team's offseason program. But he's responded in training camp and the pre-season and appears to be 100 percent for the start of the regular season. In three games, Charles has run for 103 yards and caught passes for 49 yards with a total of 21 touches.

Jones will end the season with more carries, imo. And TDs.

Charles is solid, but more of a complimentary back. PLus he did all his damage against shitty DEF last year.

Everywhere Jones has landed, he has always came in underrated like he is now, and he just flat out gets it done. Coaches fall in love with him. He moves the chains, doesnt fumble, and can even catch out the backfield.

Coach Todd Haley has maintained throughout the preseason that he intends to lean on the back who is running the best and who gives the Chiefs the best chance to win, and right now the competition (if using those two criteria) isn't even close. The fact that Charles started the all-important third preseason game, which is generally considered a final dress rehearsal before the regular season, is another encouraging sign. Put simply, you're not going to find another player who's going in the third round of fantasy drafts with as much tantalizing upside as Charles.

appears to be JC, but we'll see.
