We currently use this format
Qb,Rb,Wr,Wr,flex, flex, flex,TE,K,Def and five bench spots. Is that too many bench spots in your opinion. We’ve discussed before in our league to changing to 4 bench. 12 team league. With 5 bench spots the WW is severely depleted

Honestly, I think I would lose one of the flex spots. You're starting 7 flex players including the TE. With byes and injuries, I don't see how you would be able to hold on to those players if you went to 4 bench spots. Maybe its just my luck but I usually have about 4 hurt players on my bench at all times.

That’s actually not a bad idea. I haven’t thought about it that way. Maybe we have too many flex spots

Lose the K and Def and it’s fine as is.
I like a league that rewards people for drafting depth rather than getting lucky on the waiver wire.

I don’t understand how people play with kickers and defenses in the lord’s year 2026.

We play QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, W/T flex, W/R/T flex, and Superflex with 8 bench spots.

I'm such a psychopath that I just thought of something for this. If you wanted to cut a bench spot and were worried about short benches for injuries, you could add an IR slot or 2.

We’re in a 14 team league and start
Qb
Rb
Wr
Te
2 flex
1 wr/te
Def
K (only 3 point fgs regardless of distance)

4 bench.

I think 7 position players a lot personally. We keep short benches so managers have to constantly manage roster
