You would think after the Earl Thomas injury his resolve not to play this year would be reinforced.

Gonna be interesting to see if they still try to trade him.

This is weird timing with the earl Thomas situation and his comments, I guess Pit realized Conner is no “bell” cow

Pittsburgh still is expected to be interested in listening to trade offers for RB Le'Veon Bell, per league sources. Bell now planning to report later this month would not dissuade the Steelers from making a deal that made sense.

Gonna be tough to trade him without a team being able to extend him. He's worth more to the Steelers at this point than whatever they get back in a trade

Gyno, just proposed a trade for Bell

Full PPR leading league in scoring and tied for first

My team

Cousins Dalton
Barkley Conner Howard
Hopkins Evans Tate Cooks Kupp M Williams
Ertz Burton Hooper

His team 0-4 lowest in scoring
Rodgers Smith
Miller Hyde Bell Carson
Allen Fitz JBrown MJonesJr Cobb Benjamin Crowder
Gronk

He accepted Cooks for Bell

What you think?

There was also this mumbo jumbo that I don't really get into ...
quote:

Should he sign the franchise tag Week 7, Le’Veon Bell will stand to earn at least $9.4M of his original $14.544M in 2018. Though the #Steelers do have the option to negotiate an increase in his pay for this year.

Adam Schefter
@AdamSchefter

Now if Pittsburgh decides to use its transition tag on Le’Veon Bell after this season, it would cost $11.3 million - less than the franchise tag put on him for this year.

I'm not really expecting a trade at all.

If the Steelers did that I think they would have a revolt on their hands. If they don’t already have that. They stand very little to gain by playing hardball at this point

Didn't "a source" say he was reporting week 1, then week 2, then week 3 also? What is this "source" and how do we know this isn't just BS speculation once again?

And if Bell reports back week 7 then what exactly did he gain from his holdout? 6 games less wear and tear on his body, yes, but robbed himself of millions of dollars and likely got his teammates/coaches pissed at him.

The guy who reported it said he talked directly with Bell on the phone.

Does Philadelphia make a strong push for him now?

I certainly hope so since I have both Bell and Conner. Just came across this as well...
quote:

Philly has two second-round picks in the 2019 draft. Steelers want more than a third-round pick for Le'Veon Bell.

Eta: Schefter and Mortenson on Countdown said that before the Ajayi injury that there was zero interest in trading for Bell by Philly. Mort said he inquired about that with them and was laughed at.

Trade deadline is oct 30th. Franchise deadline is nov13th. If he comes back Oct 15th, that’s seems to suggest they’re trying to work out a trade. Why hold out this long and then give in a few weeks early unless it’s to beat the trade deadline.
