14 team 0.5PPR keeper league

We get 2 keepers for next year. Who do you keep?

Doug Martin-3rd round (must forfeit 2nd round pick)

RG3-6th round (must forfeit 5th round pick)

I'm already Keeping AJ Green. I drafted him in the 9th round last year. I'm keeping him until he retires.

Yeah, definitely RG3 for the 5th round value.

Doug Martin is the correct answer IMO.

Id keep the value (RG3). With a QB and WR already, you can load up on RB or BPA early in the draft. RG3 will always put up consistent numbers due to his rushing totals.

RG3 has 101 fantasy points in the rushing game alone! Martin has 156.

Martin has had 3 awesome games in which he has amassed half of his fantasy points and rushing yards. He is good, but RBs change so much. He could be the next Ryan Matthews.

2011 Top 10 RB
Rice
McCoy
MJD
Foster
Sproles
Lynch
Matthews
Turner
CJ2k
SJax

2012 Top 10
Foster
Martin
Peterson
Rice
Richardson
Spiller
Lynch
McCoy
Gore
Charles

4 names are consistent the past 2 seasons (with McCoy about to drop out). 3 of them go in the top 5 every year.

As someone who kept cam newton last year, rg3 could easily fall off. Look at matt Stafford, kept him in another league. Running backs that produce like Martin and don't have a time share are a rare commodity. Matt Ryan was going around the 5-7th rounds last year. Martin will be a top five pick next year.

I like Martin. Wouldn't take him in the top 5 but I wouldn't hate on someone who did.

He has 554 of his 1050 yards and 5 of his 9 TDs in 3 games. Yeah yeah, it still counts... but consistency is paramount in winning fantasy games.

5 of his 11 games he's been under 4 ypc. He's scored some TDs, but those are never a guarantee going forward.

Just looking at the big picture here.

I wouldnt mind keeping him in this guys situation, but RG3 and a 6th round value is pretty damn good. If RG sucks, it cost you a 6th round pick. If Martin gets hurt or sucks, it cost you a 2nd.

Even as up and down of a season Cam and Stafford had, they are still in the top 10 and will be right outside the top 5 when the season ends. They are hot right now and are going to win teams championships while Matt Ryan causes teams to miss the playoffs or lose in the playoffs.

It would actually be a fifth round but I know what you mean. My point is that getting a potential top five pick in the second round is much better than getting a quarterback who is more likely to bust in the fifth round.

Teams will have an entire year to study film. I think rg3 is much better than cam but qbs have more ups and downs than stud running backs. I think Martin enters elite status next year. It really depends when he has to decide. If it isn't until next year before the draft wait and see what each team does in the off season. If Washington goes out and signs a legit number one receiver or Tampa upgrades their line some then it is a different story.

All three of your guys are worthy of going in the first round.

You should rather have 1st round value in rounds 6 and 9, respectively, and draft 2nd round value in the 2nd.

Not to mention, RGIII should put up 25-30 points for you per game. That is absurd value in the 6th round. Martin is an asbolute manchild; I drafted him in the 2nd round in my keeper league. But, you just can't ignore the value of RGIII and AJ in the rounds you have them.

Who cares? RGIII has spread the ball around and made some scrubs relevant. He doesn't need a Calvin Johnson to be successful.

Carl Nicks? (FYI, Martin is running better without him).

Honestly, neither. If I had to keep one, then RG3. I would move RG3 in the offseason.

If trading is open (which it should not be), then I would try to acquire Gronk or Shady if they are on contenders. shite, I would go for Brady, Brees, or Rodgers at all costs.

Martin has had a few killer games, but he is no truly elite. Plus, there is such turnover with RB's. Outside of three or four guys, you can never predict the top backs.
