I’m taking Allen. Don’t feel like looking for the stats I saw a few weeks ago but if healthy Allen is gonna have a huge yr. Then with Henry out for the yr it makes him even more appealing

I want you to explain how it’s very easily Michael Thomas.

And don’t upvote yourself it’s a bad look

I don’t have a problem with thomas as an answer. PI’m trying to figure out how it’s easily Thomas

Allen was the !!WR3!! in PPR last season and they’ve lost their best RZ threat in hunter Henry. 23 vacated RZ targets from gates and Henry. Allen had the Most RZ targets from a WR least year. 27% of his team’s targets overall. Minimum 8 targets in 13 games and at least 5 catches in 12 games

Thomas also saw 27% of this team’s targets. But now he has upgrades at TE (Watson), WR2 (Meredith) and WR4 (Tre’quan). By sheer volume he’s due to regress and even still wasn’t better than Allen in 2017 at 27% target share

Just cuz two other people also agree with me, doesn't mean I upvoted myself.

But I guess since you asked, I just think Thomas puts up better numbers this year. Considering he only got 5 TDs last year, I think he gets a good bit more TDs, like 9-11 this year, and will still likely get about 100+ catches with 1100-1300 yards.

Keenan Allen will get big numbers as well, and Hunter Henry being gone helps him, but I think Thomas just performs a little better, and Keenan Allen's injury history is a little bit of a concern.

Depending on what site you use, their ADPs are pretty damn close, closer than I thought it was at first, but almost all of them have Michael Thomas above Kennan Allen. If you're higher on Kennan Allen, fine, but I see Kennan Allen as a top 10 WR, whereas I see Michael Thomas as a top 5, maybe top 3 WR this year.

And I guess you're right in saying that easily wasn't the correct choice of words I should have used. My bad.

Michael Thomas- 196 balls most ever to start a career, has reached 60 yards or scored a TD in 80% of his games, only 5 TDs last year, positive TD regression coming.

Keenan Allen- over his last 25 games Allen has averaged 7/87.2 per game, only behind OBJ and Brown. Lost Hunter Henry.

I'm thinking Brees has a more Brees like year this year, . Brees had 137 fewer attempts in 17 than 16, I'm not banking that that happens again. Thomas is younger and is still trying to hit his ceiling.

Its tough but I'm taking the younger, ascending player in Michael Thomas but Allen is close to elite when healthy.

Barring injury they are still going to try to transition to a stronger running game. Why do you think they will pass more?

ya that works if you think the saints are going 7-9

The only thing I could concede is the health factor. Otherwise Allen has potential to be the top overall WR this year with a top 10 floor. Thomas doesn’t gave the ceiling unless you can haul in 12+ TDs

Allen was 26 points behind Antonio brown. You’re talking 2-3 more TDs and a slight improvement on a 64% catch rate away from WR1

you don't think Thomas can do this as well?

we don't even know what his ceiling is.

He would have to catch 117 balls to flirt with 1400 yards, which is usually the upper echelon mark of the top 3 kinda guys. He won’t get the catches due to volume or the yards due to the depth of target

He’s a 12 y/r guy, he needs to get into double digit TDs to get there

Kind of a coin flip for me. Allen has the injury history, but it's kind of fluky injuries. Still makes me a little nervous. Allen performed a little better last year. I think Thomas could do better this year than last with Brees bouncing back statistically. I think for decisions like this I let the homer in me make the decision. I'd probably pick Thomas just because I don't think there's much difference and I get a great player from the team I root for IRL.

Well as a superstitious saints fan with shitty luck in life, I’d pick Allen - that way MT goes for 1500 yards and 12 TDs

I love Thomas, but Allen is a beast when healthy. His biggest problem can be availability.
