WTH is up with Joe Mixon? <3 yds/cary isn't going to cut it. I drafted this guy thinking Burrow would be dumping off to him a lot...kind of a CEH type situation. He caught all 4 of his passes in the first half for 40 yds, and never saw another pass.
CIN O-Line just sucks, hopefully Joe B. and Joe M. can get their o-line cohesive and effective. Otherwise, it's going to be a very long year for them both.

I dont get why hes always ranked so high every preseason. Hes done nothing to deserve a first round pick. Maybe becauase hes a bell cow? Hes just always seemed like a very average rb to me. You know how you have a handful of players that you just wouldnt take no matter how they fall to you? Mixon has always been that for me

Yeah i mean there really isn’t much that either Burrow or Mixon can do which is why I stayed away from Cincy entirely. Their oline is piss poor and they made no attempt to fix it in the off-season. I think Cincy’s front offfice should all be fired. Why use your 33rd overall pick on a receiver when you have an immediate need to protect your franchise qb. Knowing that they were bringing in Burrow they should have Upgraded their oline in free agency or at least drafted a lineman Or 2 with their day 2 picks. If they don’t fix it soon Joe Burrow will end up retiring early like Luck. Had they provided Burrow And mixon with an Oline you may have a high powered offense right now in Cincy

Joe Mixon is talented if you watch him. He makes some plays out of absolute nothing but his oline is so bad that it limits what he is able to do.

Mixon killed it down the stretch last season, most figured he’d continue that in an improved offense.
His low market share in the passing game is cause for concern though

Seems throwing to a washed AJ Green 13 times has to eventually correct itself

I picked up Mixon below ADP in the middle of the third, but he has started off producing below that tier.
My hope is OL can only improve from here and Cincy wakes up to realize the guy has to get targets out of the backfield. Burrow will only improve to open things up a little more as the season goes on.
Still think Mixon finishes better than RB15.

Yeah he’s burned me two years in row now. Obviously a ways to go but you hated to see Gio get all of those looks in those passing downs in 4thQ
