James Robinson for Joe Mixon

I am in a half PPR league and have Aaron Jones and Kamara as my starters, but have been playing James Robinson in my flex. After hearing my buddy bitch all Monday night about how much he hates Joe Mixon, I am thinking of offering a straight up trade.
Wanted to get the boards feelings on this. If you would have asked me a week ago, this is a no brainer. However, I am hesitant as I think Robinson might have more upside then Mixon.

Just want to make sure I'm understanding this correctly. You have James Robinson and you want to initiate a straight up trade to acquire Mixon?

Yes, looking at Mixon as a buy low candidate and Robinson as a sell high

IMO you're selling low on Robinson and buying high on Mixon. You should be able to do much better for Robinson and give much less to get Mixon.

Buy low means you're giving bottom dollar for a player while sell high means you're selling them at their peak value. If you sell Robinson for Mixon you're getting very low value in return. IMO the deal is the opposite of it's intent.

Can you not upgrade your WR or maybe TE using Robinson?

I used Melvin Gordon and Dak Prescott to get Mahomes and Kittle, so I really can't upgrade RB, TE or QB. My WRs are Allen Robinson and Terry McLaurin, so I could upgrade there, but losing Robinson would leave me with Josh Kelley and Phillip Lindsey at RB if Kamara or Jones get hurt.

With Robinson’s schedule the next 3 weeks, he will be a top 5 RB over that time frame IMO. Ride that wave, enjoy the points and watch his trade value go through the roof if you want to sell really high.

I would be ecstatic to unload Mixon for anyone of value. I drafted Mixon in the 1st round and am in a bad place. The week Mixon goes off, he’s on the trading block to sell high. Just need one sucker.

I was offered hockensen and Melvin Gordon for my mixon. I had goedert and have ak, mostert and gaskins at rb. I’m having a hard time pulling the trigger. It’s a ppr league. Wwyd

No, not first timer. He had first pick and wound up with McCaffrey, Kittle, and Mahomes. When McCaffrey went out, he only had Dobbins and Ingram at RB, and Davis was already on a roster.
We spent a few hours going back and forth on Melvin Gordon, but I held firm that I only wanted Kittle and Mahomes.

he is still giving an UDFA in a lot of leagues for a First rounder in many leagues. its definitely buying low (a first rounder who hasn't performed) and selling high (a undrafted RB that is performing great early after 2 guys he was going to share carries with got hurt before week 1)

I would dump Mixon for Gordon and Hockensen.
