James Cook or Javonte Williams?

Need some points. FYI, I’m starting Russell Wilson tonight.

I would go James cook. Broncos will like be chasing points and Bills have a better run defense

Ya need touches to generate points. Javonte coming off 30 touches. Cook has done nothing to garner a starting fantasy spot. No volume, no GL usage.

I have the same choice and I'm going with Williams.

Javon going to eat tonight

Couple of notes I came across as I look at prop bets
If Cooks has a spot, this could be it if you’re desperate
quote:
Javonte Williams is fresh off his bye week and had started to look more and more like himself prior to the week off.
Williams 2023 avoided tackle rate splits:
13% -- first four games
23% -- three games since returning from injury
A quick reminder on the awesomeness of Javonte:
48% avoided tackle rate (@TruMediaSports) at UNC in 2020. Highest single-season rate (150+ attempts) among RB's drafted into the NFL during the time I have the data (2017-22)
31% avoided tackle as a rookie led the NFL in 2021
34% rate in 2022 before tearing his ACL
In Week 10, Williams faces the Bills. The only team that has a higher missed tackle rate than the Bills is Williams' Broncos.
If Cooks has a spot, this could be it if you’re desperate
quote:
It has been a disheartening year for the James Cook believers, but the second-year back remains top-five in explosive rush (10+ yards) rate among 33 players with 75+ rush attempts. He could certainly bust loose for some big gains against the Broncos. Also working in Cook's favor -- Denver has the second-highest opponent RB target share (22%) and second-lowest opponent average depth of target.

What’s your matchup look like?

I’m up 25 facing Diggs and Jeudy.

I hope y’all are right bc I have Javonte. I’m just not that optimistic that we will see that workload again. We were lucky in week 8 and had a good game script where they were able to run the ball. I’m just not so sure we see that again. I have Cook in one league and JWill in another. Cook has had some good weeks even if he doesn’t get goal line runs. He is still explosive enough to break a long one and there is always more opportunity for a tuddy in a good offense. Add in the fact that denver gives up the most points to fantasy rbs. Now it is possible that broncos is turning a corner though so who knows.

It’s difficult to project cook and davis obviously. Diggs scares me and Juedy is usually good for his 10
Me personally, I’d go for the kill shot with Davis. All of his good games have come at home. I put in a TD bet
If you had Cook in there I’d stick with your guns. It’s a coin flip but if he puts up his little 8 burger it could be enough

Thanks! I have Davis in the line up.

Not convinced this is a blowout
CSP knows he has to control the ball to win this one in Buffalo. Easier said than done but if he has his way Williams should see work
