I lost McKinnon to injury. Guy in league has Bell and I have Conner. The Trade offer is Conner for Rex Burkhead. I have D. Johnson as RB1 and currently filling RB2 with Ajayi. Should I jump on the trade to place Burkhead into my RB2 slot?

Aim higher.

Who else does he have? Who else do you have? Scoring?

I like Ajayi over Burkhead. So no, I would not make that trade if I was in your shoes unless you are struggling at the flex.

Current flex is M Jones Jr. I also have Crabtree, S. Watkins, Agholor, Amendola Chubb and Conner on the bench as flex options. It is PPR

Definitely not enough to get Conner. I’d rather Conner every week he starts over Burkhead and it’s looking more like Conner may start multiple weeks. He needs to pay up or watch Conner help you win.

I'm not a fan of Burkhead. For one, he's got an injury history. Two, he's part of the largest committee in the NFL and you never know which RB is going to get the most touches. I would prefer starting multiple games with Connor than taking a chance with Burkhead. Maybe wait until Connornhas a good game or two and then get someone better for him.

Stndard or PPR?

Although, either way you guys are nuts to recommend not taking this trade.

Rex is a borderline RB2 with upside. Even in the best case scenario for Conner, he probably ends up an RB3 maybe RB2. But it's also just as likely he ends up with no value.

My advice, sell him for Burkhead ASAP. If you want to hold him, sell him as soon as possible after week 1. Unless we hear something new.

D, James Connor will be a waiver wire guy in 3-4 weeks and won’t be relevant again unless Bell goes down.

As a Bell owner, I hope you're right. But, if he's gonna sit out one week, he could very easily sit out way more. It's a lot of money to lose, but he can make that up on his next contract. When he comes back, he risks injury and risks losing even more money.

Gyn, this situation is getting really ugly with Bell & Pitt. You seem to be pretty non chalant about it. What gives?

Bc I never buy the media’s take in situations like this. “Fake news”, so to speak. Both sides are in their ear touting the extremes

I’m going with the common sense approach. All the pressure is on Bell to suit up imo

Lotta posturing by Bell’s agent. Don’t think it’s coming from him. Teammates are pissed. It’s only hurting his FA stock. He would be traded before he sat out the season, don’t you think? Why would Pitt hold a contentious player they won’t resign? Get something for him

I'd do it.

Burkhead is a guy you could undoubtedly start at least as a flex all year.

At this point you don't even know if Conner will start after week 1, and if Bell comes back you'd drop him anyway.

I'd take the sure fire starter for someone you basically got for free.

Let’s not forget that we have no idea if Conner is actually good or not. There’s a decent chance Rex outscores Conner even while they’re both starting
