Is Taysom worth a flyer for those taking TE late?

I wouldn’t draft him in any formats.

It’s a long shot, he wasn’t valuable enough playing this same role with Sean Payton as HC the past few years. His QB snaps aren’t reliable at all, he’s not going to get enough value per touch at the RB position to make 2-3 carries a game valuable, and his WR/TE targets are far too inconsistent. If he can become the starting TE and run routes on 75% of snaps and QB or RB snaps on another 5% then he could be valuable. But he’s only played at max 50% of snaps total in the joker role under Payton. Now that we aren’t saving him for QB he might get more free run in the offense, but I’d have to see the snap counts way up before I did anything with him in fantasy

Yeah basically he’s holding the spot that the kicker will take in week 1. Just wasn’t sure if maybe as a dual designation he couldn’t carve out more consistent touches than the other lower end TEs.

I would draft him and start him week 1. After that, who knows?
