Well for 1, you should have been telling him to adjust his lineup or adjusted it yourself every week. Since you fricked that up, I don't see how you can fix it now.

trade still wasn't veto worthy but not setting a lineup for weeks and then doing it randomly this week is sketchy as hell and i would boot him after the season

I think he’s saying the trade was collusion because the dude hadn’t set his lineup all year, now all of a sudden he wants to trade... with his brother

What do you guys think I should do?

The trade isnt bad.

You just dont invite the guy back next year. You can't penalize the guy because he set his lineup in week 13.

You should have been calling the guy out for not setting his lineup when it first started happening

Just suck it up and do a better job monitoring the league next year to avoid this situation.

I don't think it's that sketchy. It was something as simple as either the guy decided to check his app for once, or someone texted him and told him to set a lineup. Neither of those are sketchy IMO. You can't now penalize a guy because he's setting a lineup. If you wanted to warn him when he first stopped setting a lineup that if it continued, he'd be out of the league, that's all well and good. But you didn't do that, so the guy never thought anything of it and just gave up the season. Now he decides to set his lineup and it's all of a sudden an issue?

Basically that's saying that it's ok not to set your lineup, but if you don't, and then later decide to do it, it's all of a sudden not allowed? That's a strange precedent to set. Again, should have dealt with it weeks ago, but you didn't.

Is there any money involved in this league? If it is just for bragging rights, then who cares...

If money is involved don't invite him back.

My thoughts about the trade: looks good to me.

My thoughts about the lineup situation: If you don't want to set your lineup and would rather throw your money away... have at it.

As the commish of my league, I don't change scores, I don't set people's lineups, but I will send a weekly reminder to set the lineups to all members via Facebook messenger. I know when they see the reminder.

This year has been the most difficult with regards tot hat because of so many people "boycotting" the NFL, and I would assume some will not come back next year, for that very reason. However, seems like this guy won a game and that is all that matters here. The person that was left out should have played a little better throughout the season so as to not allow it to be this close.

And that's how I would have handled the situation from the beginning. I would have done something very similar to this, and also given the person one warning before telling them they weren't invited back. Something like, "you didn't set your lineup last week, even though I reminded you to do so, please don't let it happen again, and if it does, you won't be invited back next year"

Something like that, probably in a friendlier tone, but you get the gist. My whole point is that in this league, the commissioner never did that. The guy supposedly hasn't set his lineup since week 3 and never received a warning, reminder, etc. Now that playoffs come around and the guy remembers to set his lineup for once, people are upset and calling foul and want the guy out of the league. That's unfair and really sounds more like sour grapes than anything else. How is the guy going to just assume that not setting his lineup would get him banned from the league if he was never told as much? And why is it against the rules to set a lineup now? Basically, what most are calling for here is for the commissioner to come in at the 11th hour and tell the guy what he's been doing for 10 weeks was not ok, and because of it and the fact that he finally did set a lineup, he's kicked out of the league. That's just not a reasonable move IMO. The guy may have been setting his lineup all along if he had been warned way back in week 3.

It's just a failure by the league and the commissioner all around. The only move here is to suck it up, give the guy some shite about it, and don't let it happen next year.
