Get familiar w Diego Castillo, fangraphs is on him hard
Drew Steckenrider is also penciled in as the Marlin closer. I can pair both for a team looking for a RP jolt in a 2 for 1
quote:
All in all, Castillo turned in a fine rookie season (3.18 ERA, 3.30 FIP, 1.0 fWAR in 56.2 innings), with peripherals that suggested more could be in store for the future (29.3 percent K-rate, 45.3 percent GB-rate).
quote:
Diving in deeper, only eight pitchers averaged a higher velocity on their fastball (minimum 50 innings). Only 15 averaged a harder thrown slider. Baseball Savant, which marks his slider as a cutter, had batters hitting for a .106 average against the offering with a .174 xwOBA, which only trailed James Paxton
quote:
Per Steamer, only 12 relievers are projected for a lower FIP than Castillo in 2019.

I owned him last year and had to drop him to get my roster legal in the post-season. An injustice!

For pure bat, Vlad Jr. is the best prospect in the minors. If you could put an 80 on any prospect's hit tool, it would be his, and he has plus-plus power to go with it. Vlad's hands are electric, and he has shown an advanced feel for the strike zone since his pro debut at age 17, with just three more strikeouts than unintentional walks in his pro career

Tatis looks like a younger Manny Machado, but he is stronger than Machado was at the same age, and there are similarities between their games across the board. Tatis has crazy strength for his age and has shown an advanced approach at the plate, leading the Midwest League in walks as an 18-year-old in 2017. The Padres jumped him over High-A last year to Double-A San Antonio, and after a bad April, Tatis hit .327/.400/.572 from May 1 until his season ended on July 19 with an injury. He did that as the youngest regular in the Texas League by a margin of six months.
If he fails I’ll cry every night

The knock on Baby Vlad is that he's probably a DH in the long run. He's enormous, and though he's a good athlete for his size, he has gotten so big so quickly that it's hard to imagine him at any position, let alone third base,
Definitely a big boy

KL puts out the worst list for fantasy purposes imo
Exhibit A
He also loves being a contrarian, especially once all these other publications started putting out their own lists
