You still need s+hl?

Just picked up two new closers. Would prefer to package VanMeter in a deal that upgrades my bats. If not, I'm more than happy to stick with him.

pretty good haul for the right to pay Greinke $65 mil the next two seasons. Can astros resign cole?

DBacks also sending $24MM subsidy for Greinke...so about $45MM over the next 2.

The Astros are clearly all-in this year and have some decisions to make over the next couple of seasons.

I wouldn't bet on the Astros resigning Cole, but you never know. That's only one full year paying all three unless JV extends again.

I had 5 players move just today and 6 overall with the Stroman trade.

I had zero players involved in trades, not counting Jaylin Davis who I just picked up when he was moved to SF.

Had a chance to sneak into the playoffs this year, but my pitching shite the bed for the entire month of July. Pretty confident that I’ll start hanging banners next season.

I've had 4 of my guys traded.

Chisholm MIA- May hurt a little hitting in Marlins park. He has a clear path to starting once he cuts down on his strikeouts.

Beer ARI- I'm going to be optimistic and say this helps him. He was destined to be a DH before, but this will push him to tighten up on his 1B/OF defense.

Trammel SD- I think his stock will go down hitting in Petco but being on the upward trending team should help out.

Sanchez HOU- I'm pumped where he landed. I traded for him hoping for this scenario. Should be reverted back to a serviceable starter.

Oooh. I like Derek Fisher going to Toronto

They’ve been good traditionally at getting players to hit more balls to the pull side

You ready to see what we gave away with Gingergaard. Getting called up on Friday.

Brewers calling up Trent Grisham to stop everyone’s bitching.

Sv+Hd leaders over past 30 days:

1. Ian Kennedy-9
1. Carlos Martinez-9
1. Andrew Miller-9
4. Yoan Lopez-8
5. Michael Lorenzen-7

Lorenzen happens to be OTB for a cheap price. Hit me up.

Once you adopt this as your "look":

I don't think you can leave Florida.

Padres RHP prospect Luis Patino fanned nine hitters while pitching 8 1/3 scoreless innings on Wednesday for High-A Lake Elsinore.
Patino scattered three hits, and he didn't walk anyone. The 19-year-old has not allowed a run in either of his last two starts for the Storm, and he's lowered his ERA in the Cal League to 2.63. Signed out of Colombia, Patino has some of the best stuff in the lower levels, and has received comparisons to the late Jose Fernandez because of his electric stuff. There's a chance he ends up a reliever because of his less-than-ideal size, but Patino has the stuff to pitch at or near a rotation, and should help San Diego in 2020 or 2021.
