Stripling now has an absurd 28 strikeouts over his last three starts, with at least nine in each. All three, not coincidentally, have been wins. Ever since he was moved into the rotation in May, Stripling has been brilliant, with a 40:4 K:BB and 1.24 ERA over 29 innings of work. Stripling induced at least three swinging strikes with all four of his pitches (four-seamer, changeup, slider and knuckle-curve), and that kind of diverse arsenal is tough for any hitter to deal with. Stripling's next turn will come Tuesday against the Pirates.

I guess he's going to get some more starts with Maeda on the DL.

Just a spot start, but if he deals, he will be back up soon enough.

Guess?
Kershaw passed his torch to him when he wiped his booger on him. Chicken Strip is the new ace.

Well at some point if they get healthy, he'll end up the odd man out.
Unless they send Buehler back down, but that doesn't seem very likely.

Do you subscribe to The Atheltic? Article yesterday on games best curveballs and stripling was littered throughout. Whiff %, GB %, Curve Z, vertical movement etc. he’s near elite in all

I don’t and there’s been probably a dozen Eno articles and others I clicked on and hoped it was free.
I’ve gotta cancel my espn sub. Thing is useless and I forgot it’s on autopay.

Same, the quality of content is top notch. I got it just for the Reds, but its a TON of content.
