We went back and forth for a while... it was a long, drawn out process.

That's what's going to take some time. Coulda squeezed out a Colton Welker or Juan Soto I would think.

I'm a believer in Shaw. Think I could do way worse for a replacement and he waked more/struck out less last year.

He's a K/9 killer though.

Wanted Wacha. No dice.

It seems like it's hard to sell guys on the wrong side of 30. Plus Doolittle was the only guy on my staff getting sort of consistent saves/holds. I've gone cheap in that category in the past a regretted.

I've been out of the loop the past couple weeks due to a conference and a beach trip. Was Donaldson placed on the block? I guess I missed it.

Donaldson is 31 and a top 10 player. Now probably isnt the best time to sell him. People were drooling over him when he was on the block during the reg season

Someone gave Cutch away for scraps last year while he was on a perceived decline and he won a league for Wisey

JD Martinez won the league for me.

And Pomeranz ended the year with a 3.35 ERA to go along with a K/9 over 9.

I honestly don’t know who to put on the block, but I’ll listen on most guys. I’m really at a crossroads at this stage of the rebuild. This year should separate the studs from the duds on my youngins. How that shakes out will determine what I trade for at this point next year.

But yeah, I’m sure Castro can be had.

I also don’t have any obvious sell high candidates, so that makes it even harder for me to put guys OTB.
