I think your math is about right. Though there are a handful of teams whose pitching will prevent them from contending, and they'll realize that pretty quickly.

I haven't completely waived the flag, but I doubt I have much of a chance of competing. I'm not ruling out trading future pieces for veterans if i am hovering around .500 in June. I can't really see that happening though. Not enough POP. Not enough strong arms in my rotation. I sure as shite won't be tanking.

I think T&P have the strongest team going into spring training.
