Or should I hold on to him in case I'm in the finals and he comes back for the last game of the season?

Hold onto him

But the answer also depends on your league size and other tight ends on your roster

My championship game is week 16. They are calling him out 4-6 weeks. Puts him back at best (4 weeks) week 15 and at worst week 17 (6 weeks). I hold onto him hoping I am in a position those two weeks to use him. Hopefully hell be the freak he is in recovery too and show back up in three-four weeks.

Hold on to him. Find someone else to drop if you're thin at tight end and search the waiver wire.
