Can someone fill me in on how to get the app to work in Louisiana? I downloaded the app, but it is telling me that residents in LA are currently not eligible to participate. Do I need a VPN? I'm sure this has been discussed, but I've searched the past 15 minutes and haven't found much.

I live in Baton Rouge and I'm all signed up. Just waiting for my identification process to go through. I've entered a free puck 'em contest on the app.

There are multiple apps.

Download the “Fantasy” app not the sports book.

In certain parishes, you can’t play

OP, did your parish pass the draft kings deal?

The other sites didn’t submit an application because of restrictive legislation. That’s my understanding

According to this site Avoyelles passed it

That’s sports betting. Pretty sure Avoyelles did not pass fantasy sports, which is weird since they voted on sports betting. I seem to remember a poster that couldn’t play in Avoyelles. Sports betting and Daily Fantasy are different.

You can’t bet on actual games, money lines etc

You can only do the daily fantasy shite in Louisiana

When DraftKings fantasy became legal in LA, the website and app could both be used.

Now, for me anyways, I have to use the app and get denied on the website. I contacted support and they said the website should be usable again "soon"

Because our gaming commission is a joke. They pissed off a lot of the competitors and I wouldn’t be surprised if Draft Kings greased their palms to do so

Same, I can only enter games via the app but then can update lineups via computer if I've already paid to enter the game on the app.

Same for me. It's some sort of Louisiana restriction. I was even having trouble entering games on my phone. Then I tried on my tablet and it worked. Once I went back to my phone it now let's me do everything. Kinda weird tbh.

Lol no.

The gaming commission are reviewing the applications like they would if you were applying for a casino. They are doing background checks on all upper management, owner, and immediate family. They are also doing fingerprints on all. Draftkings is the only one who had everyone ready to be approved. FanDuel can’t with covid in UK. Underdog told me they probably won’t do it because of how many steps. FanDuel will be hopefully November.
