Lol, standard should be assumed unless PPR is stated, well, because it's standard.

Allen went 68/1001/8 as a rookie

Stout numbers as it is. If you're a fan of him, you must assume he gets better, and if that's the case, he would then be a stud.

Seems like he warrants a higher ADP than the 4th round. What gives?

Hasn't proven himself to be a stud WR1 yet.

I like Cooks schedule a lot more starting out of the gate.

@ATL
@CLE
MIN

as opposed to

@ARI
SEA
@BUF

not really sure why I posted that. But hey, random threads are the best.

I guess it all depends on how big of a role you think Cooks is going to have in the offense.

if the Saints are serious about mixing more run with the pass and Cooks has to compete with Jimmy, Colston, Stills, for catches... I don't know.

but Payton has always liked that quick player who makes plays in space. Cooks is more of a WR though and not like Sproles or Bush. So I don't get some of the crap I've seen/heard about what his role will be from the media.

Allen won't catch anyone by surprise this year. I wouldn't bank on him going over what he did last year. Solid season...but just not better.

he (Cooks) looked okay in the preseason... shook some other rookie out of his shoes when he changed direction on a TD catch in St.Louis

Is there really a question that he's not going to play a huge role though?

NOLA media and "Saintards" aren't the only people high on Cooks. Everyone who's in touch with the league is raving about him and what he can do. "Rookie" is just a label; if he gets it, he gets it.

Cooks is still a bargain at $7.

I like Cooks too.

I feel like I can get a good deal on him in my auction league even though its full of Saints fans (serious). That league makes you start 3 WR's though. I'm targeting him and maybe a guy like Golden Tate.

maybe even someone like Brian Hartline?

Yeah I probably reached for Cooks a bit because my league also has a good amount of Saints fans and I wanted to take a chance on a "boom" guy at wr since my starters are solid but not fantastic. It was still like round 8 or 9 though.

You did good then.

everybody sees the potential for Cooks I think. Some more than others... what can you do? Don't think of yourself as a homer here. Think of it as you taking him in the appropriate spot.

a lot of this is a guessing game anyway... especially after like the first 5-6 rounds.

this is supposed to be for fun even though money is on the line.

Yes there is a question. He's a rookie coming into the WR3 role on an offense that is notorious for spreading the ball around. I think he's going to have great games and I am a believer in his talent, but I don't have faith in him as an every week start. Do you?
