Blackmon has a good matchup. Finnally a QB who is really targeting him with Laurent Ribinson on IR. He and Ciecil Shorts is all they have at WR really. This guy is just starting to turn it on! Leshoure is losing ground to Joque Bell!

Bell has been completely phased out of Detroit's offense the past two weeks. He's been benched for Kevin Smith and is now third on their depth chart.

Bell hasn't been phased out and Smith hasn't jumped. Bell just had more carries that Smith this past week and broke a 23 yard TD run. I don't think he is pushing Leshoure either though.

I haven't been able to watch the games, got it from rotoworld:

quote:

Kevin Smith played 19 snaps to Joique Bell's 10 in Week 11 versus the Packers. We noted Sunday that Smith had overtaken Bell on third downs. The Lions didn't have a lead in the fourth quarter, so there's no telling if Bell still retains the "closer" role. Coach Jim Schwartz didn't address the changing roles on Monday and apparently wasn't asked about Bell's demotion. We should have a better read on the situation before Thursday's game versus the Texans

quote:

Kevin Smith played more snaps than Joique Bell for the second consecutive game in Week 12. After 10 weeks, the Lions have decided that Smith is a better pass protector than Bell on third downs. Bell did have Detroit's first two carries of 20+ yards on the season, but he can't be trusted as a flex option with Smith handling third-down duties.

He may be getting snaps, but he isn't touching the ball. They were playing from behind and throwing so I guess they had smith in

Like I said I still wouldn't play bell
