Any potential rule/scoring changes being discussed in your league?

Bumped an old thread of mine to see what, if anything, y’all are changing this year
Now that we are about halfway through the regular season of fantasy, what, if any, rule or scoring changes are being discussed for your league for next year?
The league I’m in is pretty well established, some guys are fussing because they think safeties should be worth more for fantasy (since they don’t happen as much), but other than that, it’s been pretty quiet

Safeties should be 2 points just like 2 point conversions. The only thing that should be worth more than it's actual value are longer FGs IMO.

Personally I think D/ST should be based more on points and yards allowed than turnovers and TDs

Sort of agree, but I feel like the fact that they rarely happen should make them worth an extra pernt or two, but it’s not that big of a deal to me

One rule change I have heard about is giving players points for their return yards. So, players like Tyreek Hill are even more valuable. I'm not sure if I like that one or not.

I like that, but if you were gonna do that you’d have to remove the special teams part of defensive scoring to avoid double dipping

That's why I don't think I like it. I'm a traditionalist when it comes to fantasy.

I’m 30, and I can remember going to an Entergy building in downtown NOLA as a child, and my dad and uncle would have their draft.. everything was done by pencil and paper.. Everything!! Lol, even the scoring

I started back in 2000 and we did the draft pack with the board and stickers. Everything else was done off USA Today and e-mail.

If it were up to me, I’d like to play in a league where D/ST & K are removed and instead play with the “head coach”

There needs to either be a little more leeway of when the points scored start negatively affecting points since teams score much more today (though this doesn't really doesn't do anything since all defenses would move accordingly)
Or find some way to reward a defense that kicks arse but gives up garbage time points. Every week you see Defenses that got their arse kicked out score great defensive efforts because of this quirk.

In my league, safety's are 4 pts, players get return yards at a 1 pt per 15 yds, defense gets 1 pt per 25 yds, and our Def rewards more for yards and points than anything else, plus TFL & 3 & outs....what I would like to see is kickers get actual points kicked, ex. A 46 yd FG would be 4.6 points.

I like this a lot. On defense we get .2 for passes defended and batted balls. Also, .5 for run stuffs. It works out nice.

We do 1 point for 25 return yards. It isn't as much as you think and if a guy returns a kick 50 yards to the other team's 5 it seems well deserved. The kickoffs resulting in more touchbacks definitely keeps it in check and not ridiculous.

I've been screaming for points for 3 and outs and 4th down stops for a while now. That and the fractional point for 1st down on offense would be great to tinker with.

I have them as close to worthless as possible in my main league.
