I usually pick the 88 for this race but did not this time..... It's a bold strategy cotton let's see if it pays off.

Chase Elliot wins the pole in Talladega. No surprise.

Going with two drivers with 9 starts left. And two with 6 starts.

I'm second to last in the league. What happens when we hit the summer portion? Do points reset?

Welcome to the club! A LOT of people picked him. I can't believe I scored a 189 and only lost 1 place. My A drivers were Jr and Hamlin so I was screwed either way.

I do not think I scored 150. It was a god awful day for me and my lucky dog thing had already been used.

I'm picking my A & B drivers out of a hat next time at Dega.

That being said 223 wasn't bad

Probably a better option than the 88 car. He stunk it up last week and I have definitely put him on the shelf until desperation kicks in. BTW Jimmy Johnson won it last year so may be worth a look.

Johnson cannot be overlooked this week. Of the current drivers, he has the most wins, the most top 5s and the most top 10s of anyone else. He also has the best driver rating at Kansas at 112.0 which is 9.5 points better than Harvick, who is 2nd.

It's hard to have learned anything from last weeks crashfest, however I did find it interesting that out of the top 20 and dominating the year so far, only 4 were Toyotas. Chevy and Ford split with 8 each. Like I said, I take this stat with a grain of salt due to the number of crashes. However, Chevy does lead the number of wins at Kansas with 10. Ford has 6 and Toyota 2. (Dodge also has 2 but no longer has a racing program. Which may be a topic for another thread.)

Good luck to all this week and I hope your teams keeps all 4 tires on the track!

Hope everyone is happy with their picks. I honestly don't know what I'm going to do about C group when I run out of Elliot and Blaney picks. Anyway, the schedule for today is Cup practice at 10:30AM and 12:30PM and Qualifying will be at 5:30PM. All times are CDT and will be on FS1.

Good luck!
