You and the other 14 owners say the same thing. Everyone isn't going to find one

I'm taking 4 closers to start this thing. Then let the trading begin.

Smart.

Every year, playoff teams trade 1st round picks for closers.

The whole "saves are cheap" is one of the biggest myths in fantasy baseball. Look at last year. Which guys were "cheap" (cheap meaning FAs or set up men who became closers)?

Sergio Santos- 30 saves
Fernando Salas- 24 saves
Javy Guerra- 21 saves

Three guys worth a shite who were cheap. Then you have 16 teams at 3 RPs each for 48 relief spots

There were more than that. Jordan walden was another. Farnsworth. And 1-2 more

Eta: guys that were drafted

And I would have kept Marmol, but I honestly think he single handidly kept me out the playoffs. He ruined some many pitching weeks for me

At first glance, I'm very confident I will get both guys I want at #2 and #9. After that, its a fricking mess.

They were still cheap. Anything after the 4th/5th rd is a crap shoot usually.

I scavenged a few closers last season and then traded when things weren't looking up. Never could move Guerra though, hopefully someone in the playoffs regrets not paying for him. Would have been cheap too, he had just taken over before the deadline.

I consider cheap to be guys you pick up on the wire, not guys you waste picks on.

The gurus all say how they don't draft closers and how they can get them cheap during the season, which simply isn't true in our league.

You don't want the guy I am taking at #9.
