I though Aroldis was already ticketed for the pen and was going to be part of the CL platoon...

Nope, not yet. He started yesterday and threw 87 pitches.

Bailey is the favorite to get the job, because he's out of options. But Chapman has outpitched him (and every other Reds starter) this spring.

I think he fell so far because his prospect shine is off and his future in the majors is so uncertain.

He can't start over Mayberry? He's gonna be 25 in September, better get that shite going.

FWIW i didn't forget about him, I just had no use for a prospect who's going to be 25 years old in the season and probably won't see the field much.

I was probably reading speculation...I really don't think going in the 4th was that late...of course if he lives up to prev hype he'll have been a steal.

im sure you'll get a lot more use out of Travis DAraud, Jim Thome, and Tyler Pastornicky

Wouldn't be surprised at all if Pastornicky and Thome finish with better stats than brown.

Yea im taking a flyer on D'araud cause i think his upside relative to the talent at the position is worth it.

Just cause i disagree with you doesn't mean i think im right. Its baseball, its all a degree of guesswork. I'm just giving my opinion on the players. I know there are plenty of players I'll take that people won't like, I'm ok with it. I'm not gonna throw a hissy fit cause everyone doesn't agree.

every prospect ive ever had worth a damn ive traded. I dont really toe that line either.

But i got Brown the 2nd pick of the last round.

you took Travis DArnaud 8 rounds before that and Pastornicky 4 rounds before that.

Like I said, I'm just giving my opinion. I don't think he's gonna play much if at all this year and his upside doesn't appeal to me enough to roster him for a year knowing i probably wouldn't keep him anyway. I need all the contributors i can on my team.

I took pastornicky cause he could be the starting ss

Im just giving my opinion back. It's not a big deal. Judging by your picks I'd say you just forgot about Brown like everyone else. But only you know that.

Maybe. The one thing they all have in common is they will probably all be on our bench. With that being said, Brown is worth way more.

all together, really.

the final stats of the other 2 guys won't show their value. Their value will come maybe once a week(if that) when you need someone to plug in, and the numbers they put up when they are active. That is IF they are even playing, in Thome's case.

in pastornicky's case he is starting because of his defense. Another light hitting shortstop. He'll be lucky to have a Ryan Theriot type impact.

in other words Thome could hit 20 HRs, but you are going to have coincide the days he plays with the days you need a plug in for him to be of any worth.
