When the idea set in that Trump was about to become the 47th President, I was listening to Harold Ford ( the dem analyst on Fox that I kind of liked) start by saying, I hope this means that Republicans and Democrats can come together and govern for the betterment of the American people.
And I yelled at my TV, nope there has to be a reckoning FIRST!! This is always what the Democrats do when they lose. They put the onus of being civil back on the Republicans and just sweep, the fact that they just spent the last 4 years calling MAGA voters nazis, bigots and racist, under the rug. And we're just supposed to forget about that and just move on.
Sorry Harold, that just ain't going to work this time around.
