Went to HS in Cobb County....worked for GA Tech for a while.
I can't begin to explain how embarrassed I am that these brain-dead losers and middle-aged women who are just worried about their next brunch took over Atlanta and the suburbs after we left to take jobs in other states.

I live in middle GA. Did my duty as did my family and coworkers. Our area is red. But that blue castle up north…
frick.
The writing was on the wall when the state opened its legs to the film and tech industries. Mix in the women and gays of Atlanta and it’s a recipe of filth.
Utterly ashamed.

The issue rests largely with Gwinnett County.

Time for The South to trade Georgia & North Carolina for Ohio & Indiana.

I’m certainly not giving up. But the point is, despite the shenanigans at the polling stations, the strings of GA in Atlanta are hard to beat (legally that is…) with the change of culture that has shifted up there. For non native Georgians, there’s reason we say Atlanta is its own country within the state. And if you’re not from Atlanta, chances are high that you hate Atlanta. Everything that the south represents, they have inched more and more away from it while simultaneously gripping power on the state.

I was about 12-13 years after him.....so he was handling business as Big Boss Man when I was in HS or college.

Sometimes, without having the ability to watch the game, I'll open a Pelicans game thread before I open up an ESPN/NBA link showing the score. People will be talking as if the Pels are getting their shite pushed in, and I'll finally see the score, and the Pels are up like 8-10 points. This thread is the political equivalent. Georgia pulled through for the good guys tonight.
