So in your mindset it's racist to be asked to provide ID for anything...

Not to burst your bubble but the quote doesn't apply to requiring an ID to vote.

What is so "racist" about going to the dmv to pick up an ID card, then being required to present it at a polling place?

I'm tired of these idiotic liberal trigger words that they use when they lose an argument, or have a desire to drive a busful of people around town to vote multiple times.

Screw you.

I am pretty certain most, if not all, States require anyone over the age of 18 to carry some form of identification on them at all times. So even if they do not have a drivers license, they are suppose to have a State ID.

you're just going to have to link that up.

Your ignorance is easily corrected.

A review of these documents shows that North Carolina GOP leaders launched a meticulous and coordinated effort to deter black voters, who overwhelmingly vote for Democrats. The law, created and passed entirely by white legislators, evoked the state's ugly history of blocking African-Americans from voting - practices that had taken a civil rights movement and extensive federal intervention to stop.

"Is there any way to get a breakdown of the 2008 voter turnout, by race (white and black) and type of vote (early and Election Day)?" a staffer for the state's Republican-controlled legislature asked in January 2012.

When the laws that make you ask for ID are specifically tailored to disproportionately affect minorities, yes.

In your mind, that's not racist at all?

You're stretching that to fit your narrative. Their issue is that Dem districts would get more early voting time.

Besides your link does not contain that quite and is a partisan hack piece by the NYT. When the word "scurrilous" is used to describe the law in the first sentence anyone with a few functioning synapses knows it's biased.

BTW, what's with that one-registration of 16 and 17 year olds? That reeks of bs. Election day registration is another joke. You don't care, because you have no integrity.

Voter ID is a big government initiative. You conservative liberals trying to change our country's laws and adding more government intervention into our democratic process.

What's next for you, commies? Want to expand gun laws and increase background checks?

STFU Rando

If they want to vote go get an ID if they can't afford an 18$ ID than they shouldn't be voting. It's not like they haven't had 4 years to save 18$

Can you explain how this disproportionately affects minorities?

You can infer, but you cannot say they "stated" that was the purpose.

You are a liar. As usual.

I am all for minority voter suppression, it's good for the nation as a whole.

In-person voter fraud, the kind prevented by voter ID laws, does not exist in this country.

Welcome to the conversation.

This is the truth, most blacks have ID. This has nothing to do with voter suppression, unless you're illegal.

I agree.

I disagree with his saying people are required to carry ID.

In short, you can both choke on hilary's clit.

Those registered voters without IDs currently are more likely to be minorities.
