Was waiting in line (about 15 people deep) and watched 4 people get turned around, responses were funny.

Hispanic couple in their 30s: "But, I went and got my ID, I should be able to vote"

Retired Black man: "But, I live down the block" This is the first time I've voted, why do I need to register if I live down the block?"

Young White male (20s): "I tried to register before I came and it wouldn't let me."

Yes they were turned away. If they had ID, it means most likely they're legal. We can't have that.

Lord - how long before someone screams disenfranchisement because they didn't even register?

I saw a white lady who looked to be late 50s-early 60s who got turned away because she didn't have photo ID.

If you've ever been on a jury, you know exactly who your 'peers' are.

Okay. Doesn't mean they're registered to vote.

So Oregon started doing this thing where they register people automatically if they are eligible They use DMV info.

I honestly don't know why its not simpler to vote.

Actually I do know, Republicans.

It's pretty fricking simple. If you can't figure it out then you probably shouldn't be voting.

I find this one hard to believe. If you had posted this in 08 I would have believed you.

MSM and Democrats tell me that is racist. You are a bigot and so are all the people in Oregon who prioritize DL and IDs which are an instrument of the white man because minorities don't have them.

Voter registration is pretty simple. You can register online, even here in Alabama. I assume that means you can do it everywhere.
