Not our problem that CA is such an extreme and unique state, though. It shouldn't be treated as some sort of representative state. The state is NOTHING like your average american state.
Right. If we moved to remove the electoral college, every presidential election is essentially decided by California, Illinois, and New York.
California has voted >60% Democrat the last two elections.

So tired of hearing this from the media. We don't elect on popular vote we elect on the EC. The candidates campaign to win the EC not the popular vote. Think Trump and Clinton spent more time in New Hampshire than they did in NY, TX, and CA combined.
