I am a green card resident and my friends are too. We spend thousands of dollars on tuition and lawyer fees. Waited years of processing to become legal. Paid upper tax bracket taxes. Some of my friends have to leave the country even after that. It pisses me that people just cross border and they get to surpass all that

I am hoping some of his plan will involve immigration reform. The process is too lengthy and costly. One of my good friends has been here for a while. Got an EE degree, then a Master's in Math and another one in Physics. Now has a PhD in Physics, and has been teaching both high school and college for around 7 years. Has won teacher of the year at two of the schools he taught at.
Will be getting booted next year if he can't get his papers. He has been recruited to NASA, but cannot work there because he isn't a citizen.
A family friend spent $12k and three years getting legalized. Of course, he had to be here to make that kind of money.
Another family friend spent around $30k and just under 10 years.

Ask yourself is it more likely every single major candidate that runs against a democrat is a lifelong racist/bigot/womanizer or is that just their go to blind accusation during every election. Or are democrats just the luckiest political party in history in that every major candidate they face every 4 years has a history of racism?
