John King + the CNN map screen = GOAT electoral college coverage

King is a human encyclopedia on not only states, but individual counties. He clearly did his homework and it showed, the best in the business. And the Microsoft screen map he was using was flawless and easy to read and follow. It's sad that he had Wolf Blitzer desperately trying to find any glimmer of hope for Hillary. I think Anderson Cooper or Jake Tapper should get that job next election cycle.

Agreed.
It was impressive as hell

It was hilarious watching Wolf feel so inferior.

I watched CNN more than I ever have last night bc of him and the technology they used. Dude knows his stuff and he just spoke the facts. No hedging.

He was good, but CNN was impossible to watch. And the fact they were calling red states more than an hour after every other media outlet was absurd.

Yeah I'm not a CNN fan, but King was on point last night and called things as he saw them. He could be talking about the county around Detroit having most of the inner city vote already in, and Wolf would be like, "Let's go back and look at Broward County again"

He's incredible.
That map was mesmerizing.

I laughed at Wolf the entire night
Several people in the group I watched with were accusing John King of bias. It was dumb.

My favorite part was when he just kept saying "I...I don't... It's gonna be an uphill battle for Hillary l"

King was looking at everything from a mathematical perspective. Very refreshing when the only information you're interested in getting are raw numbers.

I told my brother the same thing. Guy really knows his stuff. The bad part was every two minutes Wolf would randomly interrupt to read out percentages that people could clearly read on the screen all the while John was saying something interesting. But you'd never get to hear it because Wolf would then say "Let's go look at (insert random state that was a landslide)"

Wolf was basically crying.
In fact, I saw 3 CNN people with borderline tears running down their faces.
I am not excited about Trump being President (nor would I be for HRC), but grow the frick up and move on.

I actually enjoyed that most!
Wolf: "So, show me where Clinton can pick up enough votes to flip this state.....no, please SHOW ME!!!"

I don't think there was an issue with that. The script was flipped and it became Trump's to lose. The story at that point is what could she do to climb back in it.
I hate Wolf Blitzer just for being a dim-wit in general.
ETA: My favorite part was when King would be in the background on a Tapper/Blitzer exchange and that motherfricker was still playing with the map

Yep.
He would compare historical trends of random counties and seemed to have many of the memorized. Very, very impressive.
Now what would be REALLY cool is if they let the general public use that tool on their website (or did they?).

Agree. I came for the melt but seeing little/none, stayed for the insight. King kept saying, "not looking good for Clinton" about every key state and specific precincts. He ended up using all kinds of sayings for the same thing.
"Tough night for the Hillary camp" "if you're with her, it's not looking good."

I watched CNN most of the night simply for this, despite the other idiots talking.
Fox News was unwatchable to me. All they did was talk amongst themselves about stupid shite and did not give constant attention to the main battleground states left like CNN did.
I don't need to see the results from the 45 other states we know the results for over and over again. I'm more interested in the updated .1% in Michigan and Penn. That guy on CNN did a great job.
