It’s obvious they have given up on this place. Shittiest greens I’ve ever played and I’ve played some shitty public courses. Teeboxes were torn up with divots. They’ve tried to rope off wet areas where golf carts tore the shite out of the turf but it’s too late. Just close it LSU and build the new PMAC on that site.

I played here too. It has a special place in my heart but it isn't in great condition. To be fair, those areas have been roped off for months, if not for a couple years. They are trying to find another super to take it over so at least it seems like there might be light at the end of the tunnel.

No super wants that job and they shouldn't look for one. The only reason to keep that place open is nostalgia and its not in good enough shape for that. Lock the gates.

It had a great run of being in decent shape.

They should give it to the landscape architecture school to help maintain.

The course has value to the LSU student body and it would be a shame to see it close

Yes. Let the horticulture/agronomy dept maintain it.

Because the department doesn't want to be associated with a shite course.

The Ag/Horticulture department request $500k to get this course in shape.

Denied no funds available.

LSU Ag/Horticulture Department must be crap because the course sucks.

Yeah they can’t get the course to drain. It’s brutal. A little bit of rain keeps it soaked and muddy for a week. It looks like a goat farm. Quarter sized patches of crab grass covering the greens, along with big patches of dirt/sand. The rough alongside the fairways are embarrassing. Hole 6 (the par 4 that wraps around the lake) used to be my favorite hole, but it is now covered with geese and weeds . The fairway bunker on that hole had weeds covering it that were about 2 feet high. It’s a disaster and no one over there seems to care. Hope they find a new super soon to take it over. It’s a fun course to play when it’s in good shape. Lots of good college memories playing there.
