Not trying to rag on a kid....but maybe a little more experience in scouting is necessary to know who to take in your recruiting classes.


That said, good luck to your son, and please don't take it as if I'm trying to come down on the kids intelligence and whatnot. Not meant to be that way...just saying maybe a 15-16 year old kid isn't the best source of talent evaluation...

He played ST alot and got carries in a few games, anyway, he said Ardarius was the best player he saw all year, he had about 5 TDs on offense and one pick 6, he said he stood out more to him than Chase, when I told him LSU may be moving on he said "They're making a big mistake".....it's just his opinion but, he compared him to Mathieu once he had the ball.....I hope he makes it in

Your son is caught up in the moment. I don't like being a dick but Washington doesn't have near the feel for space that Mathieu had even in HS.

Now, I will say that Washington's ball skills are impressive and I absolutely think LSU needs to find a spot for him.

Thank you so much for your kind common sense response, my son could have gone to Loyola for free based on his middle school coachs( a Loyola Alum) word to certain people that could make it happen, he chose Byrd, he's super intellectual out there and will coach one day..... anyway, thanks

I doubt he signs with LSU. We don't have the spots, and he never actually decommitted from LSU. The kid is a football player, and after a redshirt year he'll be on the field for TCU(strong probability of where he's going). He's just the kind of player that's around the ball. He has special teams return and coverage skills, and is a high energy guy.

From his tape, Washington is more in the Bob Sanders mold than Tyrann Mathieu. He doesn't really compare well with Mathieu at all, other than being 5'8 or so.
