hypothetical business scenario: Gordon Gekko vs Daniel Plainview (spoilers)

Present day, and in this scenario you have a 70/30 partner (you being the 30). You are guaranteed to clear at least 3.5 million a year, but for everyday of the year, you have to spend time with and trust either Gordon Gekko or Daniel Plainview.
You can sell your share of the company after a full 365 days. Who would you trust to help build your business to a point of vast profit?
Who do you choose?

I wouldn't trust either, actually.
But if they HAD to not screw me over for a few years, then clearly Gekko. Plainview benefited heavily from inexperience in the market. I'm not sure he could dominate an already prominent and populated industry.

I agree, but...he still found a way to come out on top in the time he was in. If it were now, and he could still find a way..but you had to put up with his mean spirited alcoholism..ehh. I think his net worth was more for his time than Gordon's was for his time. But just having to deal with a man of his nature everyday..never knowing if he planned on murdering you at some point, would you take a loss or deal with it?

If it's even money then I'd go for the better hang which is Gekko. Hands down. Raquetball, hookers, blow, steak tartare, beach buggies.
Plainview: Empty mansion metaphor parties...with just him & you. The bowling alley is cool till he flies off the handle about his deaf kid, milkshakes and hurls pins at you.

I don't believe it would be even money, couple be talking the difference of tens of milions of dollars.

Still Gekko. Plainview's vision took years, but Gordon turned it around quick with his insider info.

Go with Edward Lewis - there's a chance he might bring his ho around (though you got to be smoother than Jason Alexander). Or at least she could invite Kit over for a double date.

Can I have JR Ewing instead??

Gekko fratted hard, Plainview seemed kind of stodgy.
He would have gotten Bud there, but Bud had an unfortunate attack of conscience at the wrong time and forgot that greed was good.

Gekko - no doubt...you'd see higher returns, quicker. And when he screws you over, you have a much better shot at kicking his arse.

I use Vudu on my Xbox Live. Wide selection.

Plainview was greasy and probably had bad BO.
Gekko hung with artists and hotties.
Gekko in a landslide.
