He's at Ole Miss.

Perennial losers.

I don't want Bianco, but it's likely more institutional losing over 21 years than Bianco is a that bad.

That place is snake bit.

If you've been somewhere for 21 years, at some point you're responsible for it no?

No man, that is not it. He gets credit (along with SEC momentum) in turning that program around.

But it has been a top program for 15 years now. They have top 10/15 roster talent consistently, some of the best fan support in the country, and great facilities.

And he constantly falls on his face. He is not a great coach. He's a pretty good recruiter and program builder, but he isn't going to win championships anywhere.

I am a huge fan of Scott Woodward, but this would turn me against him. Absolutely miserable candidate.

State is snake bit. They have zero team national championships among all sports.

Ole Miss baseball used to be okay. Then really sucked. Then Bianco came in and recruited very well. He wins regular season games and then collapses every time. That's 100% on him. If we were talking 5-10 years of it, maybe luck played a part. We are talking 21 years ffs. "luck" alone should have gotten him to Omaha more than once.

This is just more excuses to try and rationalize him.

Tennessee under 3 full seasons with Vitello has already matched Bianco's 20 year career.

He took over a horrific program that was dead last or tied for last 2 of the 3 previous seasons before him I believe.

Now imagine if Vitello never made Omaha again after 16 more years. Who would want him? Nobody. Nobody would care that he turned Tenn around at that point.

But top 10-15 talent doesn’t get you to the final 8.

Well it should with the other things.

Dude has had a talent advantage in HOME supers and failed several times. He's not a great coach. He's just not. He's as mediocre as it gets.

The institution has nothing to do with his piss poor management of the pitching staff.
