Crows in garden
I’ve got a 3,500 square foot garden that is about 100 yards from my patio. This is the first year that I have ever had problems with crows. They went down several rows and dug up purple hull pea seed in 2-3 foot sections. I’ve got a scarecrow that I’m about to fire cause it hasn’t scared anything ??. I also have a bunch of old cd disk tied to fishing line that spins and flashes like crazy... but the crows ain’t skeered. I have tried shooting a couple but they fly off before I can get in gun range. I’m about to go jihad on them.

.243 Winchester with a good 3x9 scope. You kill a few and they will never come back.

Strawberry farmers (the big growers) around Ponchatoula use a shot gun (blanks) that the LA Agri provided for them...that was a few years ago.

Scoped rifle should be in range.

You should be able to hit a crow from 100 yards out with a .22.

My dad is old school. Huge vegetable garden, all sorts of fruit trees, feeds whistling ducks, raises chickens, rabbits, has a pet goat, traps squirrels year round messing with his pecan trees, etc. He shot one, hung it from a branch in a nearby tree and never saw crows close to his property again.
