A new kit for Ukraine's football team, showing a map including Russian-annexed Crimea, has provoked anger in Moscow. Ukraine unveiled its shirt for Euro 2020, emblazoned with its borders including Crimea and the slogan "Glory to Ukraine!" Russia annexed the Crimean peninsula from Ukraine in 2014, and considers it a part of its territory, something rejected internationally. A Russian MP called it a "political provocation".
I fricking love this game

Russia is also claiming that "Glory to Ukraine" is a Nazi slogan.

Ah yes, because the Nazis and the Ukrainians got along really well during WWII and stuff.

These are the groups the Obama administration aided in the lead up to the Euromaidan protests and coup in 2014. The fact that the Western press ignores is that Crimea is 2/3 Russian. They speak Russian. They were part of Russia from the early 18th century until the 1950's, when Khruschev ceded the territory to the Ukrainian SSR with zero input from the people of Crimea. I don't like what Putin did, but what do Americans expect to happen when you foment a coup and put the safety of millions of ethnic Russians in a historically Russian area in jeopardy?
