Taking a spontaneous trip with my wife (see pic) to N.O. for the Memorial Day weekend & was curious about which of the following lodging accommodations is the "safer" option.

We're using points so the only factor we're interested in is safety.

Option 1 - The Westin New Orleans
Option 2) - The Renaissance Arts Warehouse District

Thanks for your time.

Pic of wife, sorta.

Like this, only 20 years older.

Westin closer to FQ, Renaissance is safer area (because it's a few blocks from FQ).

This is a good selling point

I know Peche is in that area but getting a rez is out of the question. You could always go early and see if there is a seat at the bar.

We've eaten at Compere Lapin and love standing at the bar sharing small plates. Saw Tom Cruise eating there last time we were in town.

Both Cochon concepts have always been soild.

You can't go wrong with any of these options.

They had a shoot out right outside its doors a couple of weeks ago. Westin's only a couple of blocks away, but situated such that it's pretty secluded from any sort of "street" activity.

In other words, it's probably a wash as far as which is "safer." City needs to completely open up as it was before all the shut down shite. It might actually serve to push some of the cretins away.
