I like how you think. The small bag with the air bubble leaves you with almost no chips.

The realistic answer would be a top 50 pick probably gets the Saints to cut their losses and move on. Davenport still has a lot of value. Injuries are a problem but when he’s actually on the field he’s pretty good.

I think for the next two seasons, Turner is a Hendrickson replacement with potential to move on from either Jordan or Davenport in two years. I think they got first round production out of Hendrickson this year, which prompted them to replace him with Turner via the draft, especially since the CBs were off the board at that point and they didn’t like any of the LBers at that spot.

I get it, and Turner has huge upside if he stays healthy.

I'd take a 1st for him though. 2 2nds as well.

Could only imagine what loomis could do with 2 1sts and 3 2nds in a package.

We’d be lucky to get one 3rd round pick next year for Davenport

Maybe. We can definitely get more right now though.

2021 cap # - 4.372 mil
2022 cap # - 9.553 mil...the 5th year option & last year of his deal

4.372 mil for Davenport is pretty damn good value, but that value basically gets cut in half for next year.

I doubt anyone would give up much for him since he hasn’t produced due to injuries. He’s still on a cheap rookie contract. I’d rather see him play it out than get traded for peanuts. We can always choose not to pick up his option if he never pans out. He’s been very good when healthy. The problem is that he is never healthy.
