Nice article from Christian Clark about Didi and his time in Australia. The Sydney Assistant tried to put Didi in a supporting role similar to what he would play on the Pels which was good.

That would be nice, still cautious considering how poorly he played in that role. At least offensively. 26% from the shorter three on decent volume and only 57% from the FT line, 39% overall fg%. So not great.
Last thing the team really needs is one way defense only guards.
Given this is supposedly multi year I’m hoping our guys saw something that isn’t coming across in the numbers or occasional highlight.

1 thing I remember about Didi is that he seemingly had elite speed. He also made a lot of clutch plays on both sides of the ball in Summer League.
Imagine a lineup with Kira, Didi, Wes, and Hayes as 4 of the players. Not saying it would be a great lineup, but it would look like a track meet at times.

I don't remember the speed but I remember the activity and IQ. Also looking at the comments from beat writers about Didi "getting into" guys he's defending, that showed up too. We'll see where his shot is at, but he seems like another Josh Hart in many ways.

They closed that loophole where you could trade a player with unguaranteed money and immediately cut them to save money. The salary you send out is now the salary the other team receives more or less.
