Comparing two vastly different sporting cultures
In American with the franchise system that statement is 100% correct
In Europe it’s 100% wrong. In Germany fans literally own the team. All over Europe clubs are just more than a team. They are crucial parts of the community that are often the heart beat of neighborhoods and towns.
