Does LSU own the rights to sailor mike logo

I don't know, but I do know that it is not common use. Someone owns it, and you would have to pay them if you're using it in a product that you were wanting to sell or as part of advertising.

I believe the original art came from Occidental College. Auburn and LSU both have a version.
Believe a man named Arthur Evans is the artists. He did a bunch of famous logos.
So im not sure LSU really could even own it.

A lot of schools have used that logo

No, there's about 40 schools that have versions of that logo.

The basic logo is not owned by LSU. Other teams, like Auburn, have used the logo as well.

You can use that sailor tiger image, but if it's Purple and Gold with "LSU" on the hat, and you're making shite to sell/profit from, LSU will have a solid case to stop you.
