Fatphobia and Xenophobia. And that's in the first five seconds. Poor Don would never survive the twitter mob today.

“Mr. Warmth”
fricking hysterical and makes me yearn for the days when men were men. Can you imagine the soys trying to cancel Rickles, Sinatra, & Martin.

I can’t believe he called Mad Dog Madlock a “friendly colored guy”.

What’s funny is he voiced Mr. Potato Head in Toy Story. Let that sink in with the shot Disney pulled and what’s going on with toys and trannies.

I love Don Rickles. He was the only man who could take the piss out of Frank Sinatra and not get his legs broken.

I still watch clips of his roasts and Carson bits on YouTube from time to time.

One the funniest clips ever was him coming out and interrupting Sinatra's interview when he was on Carson one time in the 1970s. Sinatra loved the hell out of Rickles and he was the only person who could say some of the things he did about Sinatra.

The best part of that segment was the story Sinatra told Carson about the time he was eating in New York.

"Can't you see i'm eating Frank, what are you doing"

He played up stereotypes before white comedians were no longer allowed to comment on stereotypes.

This one with Rickles, Burt. and Buddy Hackett on Carson gets me when Buddy tells a little story about Rickles at the Sahara.

Plus, the Foster Brooks roasting Rickles.

God, what a great story.

For those who don't know it or haven't watched the clip...

Sinatra tells a story about how one time in the 1950s, Rickles was in the same restaurant as him on a date. Rickles goes over to Sinatra's table and asks him to come over when he's done eating, because Rickles' date doesn't believe that he knows Frank Sinatra.

Fast forward to when Sinatra's done eating, he goes over to Rickles' table and says hey Don how are you and Rickles tersely responds "Jesus, Frank I'm eating here what's the matter with you?" Sinatra said he was just standing there with his mouth open like oh I'm sorry.

Don Rickles is the only man who could ever dream of pulling that shite with Frank Sinatra.

The story of how they first met and became friends is great. Sinatra went to see Rickles at a club and was surrounded by bodyguards. Rickles saw him and said "Hey Frank, why don't you make yourself at home and hit somebody!" Everyone, including Sinatra's bodyguards, had an "oh shite" look and immediately looked at Sinatra, who burst out laughing.

dude was hilarious, one thing I learned early on, fortunately not by personal experience, is that you never heckle a professional standup, they will absolutely cut you to shreds
