Don't be somewhere without a crowd. You'll probably be mugged, robbed. That's not a lie.

GW Finn's
Pelican Club

While in the FQ, please enjoy your constitutional right of peaceful assem... I mean get back in your hotel room.

You could try to see about getting into Longway one last time.

I've worked down there for 10 years. Since Thanksgiving I've witnessed a 10:15 am Saturday morning mugging on a busy stretch of Royal and a violent armed robbery attempt with a hammer at 11am on a Tuesday. Someone I know was mugged in front of the courthouse at 8:30pm on a Thursday night on Royal (that's nextdoor to a police station).

There is zero reason one should go downtown. It's the wild wild west and the criminals know there's no one to respond, catch them or if they happen to - no real punishment exists.

Friend,

What a fun night you could have! First, the obvious is stay away from bars and drinking alcohol. No good ever comes from either, and they are nothing but leaches on society, sucking life, community, and industry from towns and cities.

If you can get a reservation at GW Finn, grab it. I have not been able to get a day of reservation on Saturday in months. You could try Irene’s, but the last time I was there this year it was utterly average. How it is hailed as better Italian food than Impastato’s is simply inexplicable. Mr. B’s is always an option. The Rib Room and Broussard’s were both empty the last time I ate at each. They do not get nearly the online praise they deserve. Galatoires is best at night no matter what anyone says about Friday lunch.

Yours,
TulaneLSU

Broussard’s

like some other long-running Nola restaurants, Broussard's was dead to me after being taken oven by Creole Cuisine.

Way to go latoya! So glad every cop in the city will be on bourbon street next week making sure bars go out of business. If she actually cared about stopping the spread she would close a Walmart

We ate at Bourbon House last weekend. It exceeded our expectations and was really good.

How right you are. It’s always loud, but the lunch crowd tries too hard to show how “fun” they are.
