They really do. They go on serious win streaks in October through early November that effectively seal the division, hang on down the the stretch, then sputter in the playoffs.

The short passing game works great in the regular season.

In the playoffs, you have to be able to go deep and make some tougher throws, throws that for the past 3 years or so, Drew is just not capable of.

This is always a common narrative

What changes in the regular season vs post season? Brees and Payton were together 15 years, it’s not like there wasnt a book on them. So they just defended the saints poorly in the regular season all these years and decided to really clamp down in the playoffs?

Or is it just hard to win in the playoffs where other good teams and coaches exist and everything has to go perfectly to win the big one? Injuries happen. Flaws on def or off become magnified, but did they really not exist before the playoffs ?

Brady’s success has really jaded fans’ perception of “winning”. Rodgers hasn’t won in 10 years. It took Peyton another 10 to get his second. Russ won in ‘13. Every fan base wants to win when their HOF QB is in their prime. It’s just really fricking hard

All that said, Brees’ legacy was robbed of opportunity vs MIN and the Rams

Failure to be creative yet simplistic in the gameplan and a lack of killer mentality.

It's the NFL, tough to win it all in this league. Some of our fans think we should be the Patriots of old, like some LSU fans want to compare everything to Alabama. Championships are tough to win. Just look at the last 15 years in the NFL...Seattle probably has had some teams that could of won it all several times, but only has 1 championship. Packers, same thing. Heck the 49ers have lost 2 superbowls and zero hardware. It's not a Saints problem, it's a tough to win in that league problem. Enjoy the success we have had my friends, it could be a lot worse.

A lot of people on this board don't realize how hard it is to win a Super Bowl.

Fellas seriously these games are predetermined. When will you all wake up and smell the coffee. Anytime you have betting odds on the outcome of games and millions of dollars are on the line...there is always going to be underhanded activity.
