Apple revealed an iPhone 12 mini that includes a 5.4-inch screen and starts at $699.

I'm gonna sell my 11pro and get this, it has basically everything my phone has except a telephoto lens and I get 5G. Basically, a slightly smaller iPhone 8, which I think was the perfect size for me.

You realize most laptops are moving this way right? Especially with the incredible versatility of thunderbolt

I don’t need Thunderbolt, I need and hdmi out, Ethernet port, and a USB port.

I have nothing against thunderbolt, but eliminating the ports we use now because thunderbolt will be the future is like forcing everyone to buy electric vehicles before there are any charging stations available, while there are gas stations on every corner.

The basics are not going away anytime soon, HDMI, USB, and Ethernet. We are a long way away from thunderbolt everything.

Ethernet is long gone buddy (not on the XPS, X1 Carbon, HP x360, non of the LG ultrabooks, etc), and HDMI isn't far behind on many laptops

And you can get thunderbolt hubs for like $10 with all the ports you need, with charging capabilities

100% of corporate America would disagree with you. Also, ethernet is not long gone, the port may be on some laptops, but ethernet is certainly not long gone.

Multiply that by 1000 laptops, and you have an additional $10,000 in hardware costs. We are not going to spend an extra $10,000 for a more expensive laptop with less of the ports we need to do business.

We can barely trust our users not to lose their laptops. We will surely be one of the last to join the, here is your laptop and the 5 adapters you need to do you job party.

You can still use a USBA-Lightning cable to charge. The USB-C-Lightning cable allows for faster charging.

Every laptop we deploy at our fortune 500 company doesn't have an Ethernet port on it now.

Ethernet ports on laptops have fallen by the wayside.

Maybe on non-business models. People are fricking stupid for using wireless over wired in a corporate setting.

Most corporations are built out with incredible cisco equipment, including ours, that basically negates any need to be hardwired.

All of our clients have docks anyway and receive docks no matter what

What I want is a usb-c iPhone, I don’t give a shite about a useless 5W adapter going away or headphones that I already have a ton still sitting in a drawer unwrapped. I have built in USB ports in every outlet (some are two A ports, some are two A and one C) I would want to use as a charging outlet in my house and have a higher wattage adapter for travel with multiple ports.

I’m still convinced the headphone jack was removed as a way to get you to buy AirPods or Beats.

Lot to bitch about with Apple, but AirPods aren’t one of them. Having had to unfortunately use mine quite a bit this year, they’ve been an absolute godsend.
